The assault caused the temporary shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

An additional two individuals are now in custody in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt during the incident. Five people went to hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
